The Ostrich!
Listen up everybody I’d like discuss,
The Ostrich, also known as Struthio Camelus,
Standing two meters high with a roar easily heard,
The Common Ostrich is one big ass bird,
It can kick very hard a run very fast,
Populations declining, how long will it last,
It cant fly anymore but it still has wings,
Its mistaken for a lions roar sometimes when it sings,
Females use their grey colors to hide out in the day,
Protecting her little Ostrich eggs from becoming prey,
The darker, black male hides out in the night,
And will run 60 Kilometers an hour to avoid a fight,
Residing in savannah and semi-arid plains,
In places effected by occasional rains,
They’ll eat insects until they’re all gone,
They’ll eat just about anything they can get their beaks on,
To predators, juveniles are not easily found,
They are brown like their mothers and blend in with the ground,
They’re not like other birds they wont perch on a stoop,
You’ll tend to see thirty or more of these in a group,
So next time your out and see trees missing leaves,
You may want to keep your eye out for these,
